Berlin Transportation honors drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week
Mon., Aug. 22, 2005
MILLERSBURG, OH – Berlin Transportation, Inc. is pulling out all the stops to honor its professional drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Aug. 21-27.
Throughout the week, Berlin Transportation’s leadership team will treat their drivers to snacks, prize drawings, and corporate gifts. Topping off the week, there will be an outdoor barbeque and celebration at the Millersburg terminal. In addition, local corporate sponsors generously donated items for the daily prize drawings for our drivers.
“Across the country this week, motor carriers, trucking associations, manufacturers and suppliers will honor our nation’s transportation professionals,” said Berlin Transportation President Tom Wengerd. “At Berlin Transportation, we may not be the biggest transporter, but we think our professional drivers are the best, and we want to show it!”
According to the American Transportation Association’s President and CEO Bill Graves, America’s truck drivers deliver nearly 70 percent of the freight moved in this country. It’s an important job and the men and women who do it deserve our thanks, he noted.
At Berlin Transportation, National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is our opportunity to honor our professional drivers, and to thank them for the hard work they do every day on behalf of our customers and suppliers. We’re proud of our transportation team!
